Invest Your Interest with Moneybox
What is Invest Your Interest?
It’s a tool we created to make investing as easy as possible. Rather than adding the interest you earn each month on your savings to your savings accounts balance, we’ll automatically invest it into your Stocks & Shares ISA.
Think of it as an ‘upgrade’ to your interest. Your savings balance stays exactly where it is, but the interest you earn will be working harder for you in an investing account rather than adding to your total savings account balance.
Invest your interest is available to customers with £5k in a Cash ISA and/or Simple Saver, or £5k across Moneybox investing accounts (Stocks & Shares ISA, Stocks & Shares Lifetime ISA, General Investment Account, Junior ISA).

Stocks Shares ISA FAQs
What is an Individual Savings Account (ISA)?
ISA stands for Individual Savings Account, and is a government scheme allowing individuals to hold cash, shares, and unit trusts free of tax on dividends, interest and capital gains. You can deposit up to £20,000 into an ISA each tax year, and this limit is shared across all of the ISAs that you have open.
At Moneybox, we offer a Cash ISA, an Open Access Cash ISA, a Stocks & Shares ISA, and Lifetime ISAs (both Cash and Stocks & Shares).
What is the difference between a Stocks & Shares ISA and a Cash ISA?
A Stocks & Shares ISA invests your money; a Cash ISA holds it as savings and earns interest. The Moneybox Stocks & Shares ISA lets you invest in tracker funds, ETFs, and selected US companies.
Investing can offer higher returns than a Cash ISA over the long term (a minimum of five years), but your capital is at risk and you may get back less than you invest. You can sell settled investments at any time and hold the proceeds as Available Cash, which earns interest. Usual investment account fees apply.
Moneybox offers two cash options: the Cash ISA and the Open Access Cash ISA. Neither includes investment options. Both pay a higher rate when you keep a balance of £500 or more, including a fixed introductory bonus rate for new customers. When investing, capital at risk.
What can I invest in?
Moneybox has worked with experts to offer you three Starting Options – Cautious, Balanced and Adventurous. All you need to do is pick one based on your attitude to risk and return.
Each Starting Option contains a mix of tracker (mutual) funds. If you’d like to, you can customise the asset allocations of our suggested Starting Options to create a personalised portfolio. However, you should bear in mind that our Starting Options have been carefully designed by investment experts to optimise risk and return for the selected risk appetite. Please make sure you fully understand how changing your allocation could impact your investment return and risk level before making any changes to these allocations.
Do you give financial or investment advice?
We aren’t able to offer financial advice, so you’ll need to make sure that your investment allocations are right for your personal circumstances and financial goals. Moneybox is also a self-directed platform, meaning we do not make any investment decisions on behalf of our customers.
