Finding your Tax Identification Number (TIN)
If you're also a tax resident in a country outside the UK, and you’re opening a General Investment Account or one of our savings products, you’ll need to provide your Tax Identification Number (TIN) when registering for Moneybox. Like all UK financial providers, we're required to collect this under an international agreement called the Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
A TIN isn't always called a TIN. In many countries it's your national ID number or personal number, so you'll usually find it on your ID card, passport or driving licence. In others, it's a separate tax number you'll find on letters or returns from your tax authority.
All the countries below automatically give their residents a TIN, so if you live in one of them, you'll most likely already have one.

Still unsure?
If your country isn't on this list, you may still have a TIN. Check any tax returns, tax assessments or letters from your tax authority for a "Tax number", "Taxpayer reference" or "Personal number".
While these are the most common formats, yours might look a little different. For example, some countries use a different number for foreign residents, or format the same number with spaces, hyphens or slashes.
