Data Deletion Request
You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete personal data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete your personal data after you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing.
Note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request of erasure for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request.

What information is kept?
As a financial service firm, we must follow financial regulations which help prevent fraud and money laundering. These regulations require that we keep certain information about you when you close your account. We are also allowed to retain information we may need to respond to a complaint you might raise about our service or claims made under the Direct Debit Guarantee. The information we need to keep includes:
Your personal information including your name, date of birth, national insurance number, address, email address and phone number
Any deposits, withdrawals or transfers made on Moneybox
Your bank account number and sort code
All fund transactions we have performed on your behalf
Any activity you have made on the Moneybox app which may include your IP address
Any communications between yourself and Moneybox
We will only retain your information for compliance with a legal obligation (for example the Money Laundering Regulations 2017) and to enable us to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. We must retain personal data for a minimum of six years as required by the Money Laundering Regulations. Where information is not required it will be removed.
