In August, we were excited to launch our new range of funds on our investing accounts! There are five new tracker funds available to invest in via our Stocks & Shares ISA, Stocks & Shares Lifetime ISA, General Investment Account and Personal Pension:

  • Technology fund
  • Healthcare fund
  • Islamic fund
  • Emerging Markets fund
  • Emerging Markets ESG fund

As our community continues to grow, some of you have been asking for more control over where your money is invested outside of our three Starting Options (Cautious, Balanced and Adventurous), so we’re pleased to bring you this update!

How can I invest in these new funds? 📈

You can choose to build your own fund portfolio by customising your investment allocations in-app. You can select from our five new tracker funds as well as our existing funds.

To explore our new funds, make sure you’re on the latest app version and head to Settings > Allocations > Change Allocation. Then, tap on a Starting Option and select Customise Allocation.

It’s important to know

Please note, before making any changes, make sure you’re comfortable with the risks associated with each fund and have considered the impact this might have on the risk and return level of your portfolio. The value of your investments can go up and down, and you may get back less than you invest. All investing should be regarded as longer term (minimum 5 years).

Updates 📝

Home-buying countdown

We’ve created a brand new countdown feature to help you easily visualise and work towards your home-buying goals. You’ll now be able to set and edit your target date to buy a home using the new countdown card on the Mortgages tab.

This update is the first of many exciting changes we’ll be making to fully customise your home-buying experience in-app. Stay tuned for further updates…

New in your Moneybox app

Here are more of the updates we made in August:

  • We’ve created time-weighted returns for investment accounts – a brand new way to see how your investments are performing! You can try it out by heading to Accounts, selecting one of your investment accounts, then tapping the Breakdown page.
  • Plus, we’ve introduced new in-app statements. You can now generate personalised account statements in seconds by heading to Settings > Documents > Statements.

For Moneybox Mortgage Advice, please note your home could be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. All investing should be regarded as longer term (at least 5 years). The value of your investments can go up and down, and you may get back less than you invest. Tax treatment depends on individual circumstances and is subject to change.

For the Lifetime ISA, you must be over 18 but under 40 to open an account. If you need to withdraw money for any reason other than your first home (up to £450,000) or retirement, you’ll pay a government withdrawal charge of 25%.
