How to earn up to £1,000 with a pension transfer 

  1. Open a Moneybox Pension in-app. Download the Moneybox app via the App Store or Google Play to get started.
  2. Transfer your pension(s). Submit a qualifying pension transfer in-app – Accounts > Pension > Combine. Qualifying pension transfers must have a combined total value of £1,000 and the request must be submitted, complete with pension policy number, and in progress by 20th September.
  3. Wait for your reward to drop. The amount will be paid into your Moneybox Pension within 60 days of the end of the offer window or once the transfer has successfully completed – whichever is later.

Moneybox Pension Awareness Week 2024 Reward Contribution Offer Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

  1. The Reward Contribution Offer (the “Offer”) is available to Digital Moneybox Limited (“Moneybox”) customers who have been contacted directly by Moneybox by email or in-app notification informing them of this promotion (an “Eligible Customer”) . 
  2. The Offer is available from 12:00am on 26 August 2024 to 11:59pm on 20 September 2024 (the “Offer Window”). 
  3. Moneybox customers who completed the registration process on the Moneybox app between 12:00am on 03 July 2024 to 11:59pm on 25 August 2024 are not eligible for the Offer. This Offer cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other Moneybox Reward Contribution Offer.
  4. To be eligible to receive the Reward Contribution (as defined below), an Eligible Customer (or “you”) must satisfy all the following requirements (together, the “Offer Requirements”):
    1. during the Offer Window, have an existing Moneybox Personal Pension or open a new Moneybox Personal Pension, and provided you do not cancel within the cancellation period; 
    2. complete the contribution declaration for your Moneybox Personal Pension and provide the additional personal information required to Add money into your pension. You are not required to make a payment into your pension to complete the Add money journey; 
    3. during the Offer Window, have one or more Qualifying Pension Transfers (as defined below) started and In Progress (as defined below) subject to a minimum total transfer value of £1,000 as noted in the table below;
    4. a Qualifying Pension Transfer (as defined below) must subsequently be completed (this is indicated when the pension transfer is marked as completed in the Moneybox app and via email); and
    5. satisfy the promotional requirements as set out in the Moneybox Promotional Terms
  5. A “Qualifying Pension Transfer” means a UK registered pension that:
    1. is transferred by an Eligible Customer to the Moneybox Personal Pension from another pension provider by submitting a correctly completed transfer application form within the Offer Window; and
    2. does not have safeguarded benefits associated with it that cannot be provided by the Moneybox Pension, as set out in Section 6.5 of the Moneybox Terms and Conditions; and
    3. is not the pension provided by your current employer. 
  6. A pension transfer that is “In Progress” is one in which we have received a transfer request during the Offer Window where the current pension provider (“Current Provider”) has been selected and correct policy information (including the policy number) has been supplied. This will show as “Transfer in progress” in the Moneybox Personal Pension in the Moneybox App. If your pension transfer request cannot be processed by your Current Provider electronically, to qualify for the Offer we must have received your transfer request form complete with policy information before the Offer Window deadline.

Reward Contribution

  1. The value of your reward (“Reward Contribution”) will be determined by the combined value of all Qualifying Pension Transfer(s) on completion of the transfer(s), as set out in the table below. 
  1. If you request more than one Qualifying Pension Transfer, the Reward Contribution will be determined once all Qualifying Pension Transfers have been completed.
  2. The Reward Contribution will be paid into your Moneybox Personal Pension (subject to meeting the eligibility conditions in this Offer). No cash equivalent is available.
  3. Reward Contributions into your Moneybox Personal Pension will be:
    1. 80% awarded by Moneybox (the “Moneybox Contribution”); and
    2. 20% awarded as a pension tax relief from HMRC, as applicable.
  4. Your pension tax relief will usually arrive between seven and 11 weeks after payment of the Moneybox Contribution into your Moneybox Personal Pension. 
  5. To receive the government contribution into your Moneybox Personal Pension, you must be eligible for tax relief and in compliance with all applicable tax limits to use the Offer. You must inform Moneybox within 30 days of receiving the Moneybox Contribution if you are not entitled to the pension tax relief. For the avoidance of doubt, if you are not entitled to the pensions tax relief, Moneybox will only pay the Moneybox Contribution (i.e. 80% of the total Reward Contribution) into your Moneybox Personal Pension. 
  6. By participating in this Offer, you agree that the Moneybox Contribution will be paid into your Moneybox Personal Pension upon satisfaction of the Offer Requirements within 60 days of the later of:
    1. the end of the Offer Window; or 
    2. satisfaction of the Offer Requirements, including completion of all Qualifying Pension Transfer(s). 
  7. The payment into a pension scheme pursuant to this Offer could result in any protection you have applied for to HMRC against the lifetime allowance being lost. If you fall into this category or believe you do, please contact us to be opted out of the Offer. 
  8. You will not be eligible for the Reward Contribution or this Offer if your transfer application form is incomplete, inaccurate, or is not received by us during the Offer Window due to any delays by you, your ceding pension provider or due to technical failure regardless of cause including equipment failure, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. 

Other

  1. These terms (the “Offer Terms”) supplement the Moneybox Terms and Conditions (including the Moneybox Promotional Terms). To the extent there is a discrepancy between these Offer Terms and Conditions and the Moneybox Terms and Conditions (including the Moneybox Promotional Terms), the Moneybox Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
  2. By participating in the Offer, you are deemed to have accepted these Offer Terms.  If you do not want to participate in the Offer, please contact us by email on support@moneyboxapp.com to be opted out.
