Job Brief

The Contract Senior Data Protection Manager will join our team and lead on data protection, supported by a Data Protection Analyst. Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Director (also the Data Protection Officer), you will have a range of responsibilities directly related to data protection.

What You’ll Do

Working closely with the rest of the risk & compliance team and the business, you will help Moneybox build a best-in-class risk & compliance program. You will be involved in, but not limited to, these duties:

• Develop a program of work to enhance Moneybox’s data protection arrangements
• Provide considered, pragmatic advice on data protection 
• Data protection risk management including monitoring, periodic reviews and reporting
• Ensure ongoing responsibilities such as data subject access requests are appropriately delivered
• Contribute to broader work by the team, including periodic reviews, to continually enhance controls
• Assist with regulatory and other ad hoc projects to deliver change
• Assist in preparing and maintaining policies and procedures

Experience and Skills

• Up to 5 years’ experience in second line functions
• Data protection experience with a detailed knowledge of UK GDPR and PECR 
• Knowledge of PSD2 would be a bonus but not required to apply
• Experience identifying and implementing improvements
• Great communication and listening skills
• Fluency in English
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
