Job brief
We are looking for someone to join us who is excited by analysing, creating, and implementing complex business architecture to ensure that our operating model supports our customer proposition. As part of the Business Architecture Team, you will manage and develop a small team of Business Analysts to analyse new and existing business systems, create and implement operating models and processes, and support project planning and reporting. You will drive more complex analysis and projects yourself, collaborating closely with stakeholders across the business such as the wider Business Architecture Team, Product, Insight, Finance, Investment Operations, Customer Operations, Platform, and all other Technology teams.
This role will be great for someone with existing experience in business analysis, consulting, and/or project management who enjoys engaging with complex concepts and systems in the finance space. In particular, you will support our operations and payments mission, as well as our Moneybox-wide operations governance, resilience, and business continuity generally.
What you’ll do
- Gather and distil detailed requirements for new functionality and changes to existing business processes
- Create operating models and detailed process flows, and secure stakeholder buy in
- Create detailed analysis of business systems (internal and third party), regulatory and tax rules, operational processes, and articulate the impact of these to proposed initiatives and changes
- Manage a team of 2-3 Business Analysts
- Drive and champion our business continuity and operational resilience, collaborating closely with compliance and operations and technology teams
- Support our Operations Forum: a management committee of our Board Risk Committee
- Collaborate with product, technology, and operations colleagues to establish solutions to key customer and business challenges
- Support the wider Business Architecture team with business analysis and project activities, including developing shared methodologies and coaching others
Who you are
- You are a driven individual who’s looking to build their career at an exciting, very-fast-growing company.
- You enjoy managing and growing people, and have experience of this in a business analysis, consulting, and/or project management context
- You have a proven record of delivering complex and high-quality analysis and changes to business systems and operations, ideally in a regulated finance environment
- You are a naturally personable, great communicator who can articulate complex things in an empathetic and accessible way
- You are commercially and technically minded, and use this to great effect when establishing operating models and implementing solutions
- Ideally you have knowledge of relevant business systems, such as investment administration, fund and ETF trading, equity trading, savings products, business continuity, information security, etc.
Experience and skills
- University educated with at least one degree
- Ideally you have around 4+ years of relevant experience in financial services, including 2+ years of management or supervisory experience
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Understanding of business analysis and project management methodologies
- Great communication, listening and stakeholder management skills
