How long does it take to purchase US stocks?

If you buy a stock through the app before 12pm, we’ll submit your buy request on the same working day when the US markets open. If you buy a stock after 12pm, your buy will be processed on the next working day as soon as the US market opens (usually 2:30pm UK time).

Once we’ve submitted your request, and your buy takes place, you’ll receive an email to confirm the share price and the number of shares you’ll receive. It’ll then take 2 working days for the investment process to complete and your buy to settle. After your buy has settled, the stock will be available for you to sell.

You can track the progress of any in-progress buys in the Accounts tab under ‘recent activity’.
