Buying your first home with someone else

If you are planning to buy a home with someone else, remember to only input the amount you will be saving towards a deposit. This tool is based on your Lifetime ISA only. So if you and someone else are both saving equal amounts towards your deposit, halve the amount you input for your deposit.

Can we both use our Lifetime ISA?

If you are planning to buy a home with another first-time buyer, you can both use a Lifetime ISA. That means you can both receive the 25% bonus on your deposit savings. However, the £450,000 limit does not increase if two people, who both have Lifetime ISAs, are buying a home together.

What if my partner has a Help to Buy ISA?

You can also use the LISA to buy with another LISA holder, or someone who holds a Help to Buy ISA.
